Travel Diary: La Perla del Caribe

Muchas veces escapar de la vida no es la solución, pero escapar para disfrutar la vida si es una buena razón para tomar tu equipaje y visitar lugares llenos de historia, cultura y diversión. Esta vez, nos transportamos a la Isla de Margarita para sentir la vibra marina, conocer la historia de nuestro pasado y visitar espacios únicos. 

Ubicada al noreste de Venezuela la conocida Perla del Caribe nos brinda playas paradisiacas para disfrutar del mar y la arena. Entre algunas de las visitadas durante este viaje conocimos Playa Parguito. Esta playa ubicada al sureste de la isla ofrece un oleaje perfecto para la práctica de deportes extremos acuáticos y además, una gran variedad de restaurantes que le ofrecen a los turistas la comodidad y calidad que buscan. 

Otra playa y una de mis favoritas es Playa Guacuco. Este lugar para mí en lo particular es muy especial ya que durante mi infancia solía visitarlo mucho y tengo mis mejores recuerdos en esta playa. Ofreciendo un oleaje tranquilo y puntos de disfrute gastronómico, Playa Guacuco nos invita a disfrutar de la brisa marina y el sol caribeño.

Sin embargo, el disfrute de sus playas no es lo único que la isla ofrece. Existen una gran cantidad de puntos culturales para visitar llenos de historia. Entre ellos los más interesantes y conocidos son el Fortín de la Galera en Juan Griego, el castillo de Santa Rosa y la Plaza Bolívar de la Asunción y por supuesto, la famosa capilla de la Virgen del Valle.

En lo particular, la gastronomía de Margarita es muy variada, pero uno de mis sitios favoritos para disfrutar del calor hogareño y la buena atención es Casa Caranta en Pampatar.

La Perla del Caribe definitivamente es un lugar mágico lleno de muchas cosas por descubrir y poder recorrerla es un placer. Porque más que un estilo de vida, recorrer Margarita es una aventura.

Sometimes, escape of life is not the solution, but escape to enjoy life if it is a good reason to take your luggage and visit places full of history, culture and fun. This time, we were transported to the island of Margarita to feel the sea energiess, know the history of our past and visit unique spaces.

Located in the Northeast of Venezuela, the most known Pearl of the Caribbean gives us beautiful beaches to enjoy the sea and sand. Some of the places we visited during this trip was Parguito Beach. This beach is located in Southeast of the island and offers the perfect waves to practice extreme sports and also offers a variety of restaurants for tourists who are looking fro comfort and quality.

Another beach, and one of my favorites, is  Guacuco Beach. This place for me in particular is special because  I used to visit it during my childhood and my best memories are in this beach. Offering great waves and culinary point, Guacuco Beach invites us to enjoy the sea breeze and the Caribbean sun.

However, the enjoyment of the beaches is not the only thing the island offers. There are a lot of cultural sites to visit full of history. Among them the most interesting and known are the Fortin de la Galera in Juan Griego, the castle of Santa Rosa and Plaza Bolivar ate La Asunción and of course the famous shrine of Our Lady of the Valley.

The Margarita gastronomy is very particular, but one of my favorite places to enjoy the homey warmth and good attention is Casa Caranta in Pampatar.

The Pearl of the Caribbean is definitely a magical place full of many things to discover and it is a pleasure. Because more than a lifestyle, traveling through Margarita is an adventure.
